Headphones case

The factory leather on a plastic case for high-end headphones was damaged. I was asked to recover it and add a carving. The cover is held on with magnets.

It took longer than expected, mostly figuring out the wrap. Wet molding the bottom half around a 2x4 form worked much better than using the case itself. The lid is carved, then built up with a plastic insert, 3 oz leather, and a sheepskin lining so it does not slide around.

Shop notes for this one are on the blog.
