Earlier today I got the cuirass done. An interesting weekend, and part 2 of 10 is complete.
The inside floating panels were connected with sheep leather. That gives a bit more flexibility than veg tan.
A few things I would change from the pattern: do not cut the holes for the floating panels until the panels are ready to install. I did not have much room for the snaps. My leg plus a cutting board was enough to punch the holes, then a 2 lb metal block mashed the rivets.
